Description
- PLEASE READ ENTIRE LISTING BEFORE BIDDING OR ASKING QUESTIONS!
- I am liquidating many of my records (LPs, EPs, etc.), electronic equipment, and miscellaneous items to create space for a new laboratory (visit cochlearconcepts.com for details regarding my research).
- Refunds offered only if item is different than described. I cannot offer exchanges because I have limited quantities (usually just one) of the item listed. All issues, at least with honest buyers and sellers, can be quickly resolved in a professional manner.
- I pack items with great care. Vinyl records generally ship via Media Mail (USA) or First Class (International customers) unless you're willing to pay for Priority Mail.
- IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING!! The USPS's weight limit for International First-Class mail is 4 lbs. (approx. 1.8 kg). I gladly combine shipping, but parcels weighing more than 4 lbs (roughly 6 - 7 LPs) will have to be split into smaller parcels or shipped via Priority Mail (I will ship whichever method is less expensive). Sellers have no control over weight or size limits. Thanks for your understanding!
- NOTE TO BUYERS: Please be respectful when leaving feedback or rating sellers on transit time and shipping cost. Sellers do NOT dictate shipping rates. I charge only actual shipping cost (or less). Shipping is conspicuously posted: Decide what's reasonable to you BEFORE you bid. When sellers are downgraded, EVERYBODY LOSES! Fewer sellers = less cool items to buy or bid on.
- I do NOT use stock photos--EVER! You will receive exactly what you see in the photo(s). I do my very best to provide accurate descriptions. I leave it the reader to do an online search for playlists, reviews, and information readily found on the web. Most buyers have a good idea what they're buying: I focus on letting you know the CONDITION of the phono record or CD being listed, not the historical background of the recording that you can find elsewhere. I am currently writing a dissertation and do not have time to provide tons of detailed info. Again, thanks for your understanding.
- Payment due by 3 days end of auction! PayPal ONLY (this method of payment protects buyers and sellers alike).
Note to buyers, sellers, and eBay: Sellers have no control over shipping costs or transit time! Sadly, eBay's "anonymous" 1-to-5 star rating system enables perennial whiners to whine about things that are beyond sellers' control. Who benefits from this? Nobody! The goofy star rating is an example of how eBay has discouraged many excellent sellers. Fewer sellers = less cool items to buy or bid on. On a positive note: Thank you for viewing my auctions!
Above: I use high-end record playing equipment in order to preserve my records. Please know, however, that many records in my collection are older than I am and, not surprisingly, were purchased used.
I use PREMIUM QUALITY record mailers and cardboard stiffeners. I do NOT add the cost of these mailers to shipping (no hidden fees here--you only pay what I pay for shipping). It is my hope that you will re-use the mailers for LPs or other items.
This listing is for a RARE limited edition (#45/400) garage and psychedelic compilation LP titled PSYCHEDELIC DISASTER WHIRL (1986 Frantic Records). If you're a garage rock aficionado, you'll want this LP in your collection. I am not the original owner, but this REAL MONO vinyl LP is in EXCELLENT playing and physical condition. Most surface noise is likely to have been a part of the original source material, not a defect of the LP here. This "BLOW YOUR MIND!" LP is a compilation of 16 rare 60's 45 RPM records. The jacket is in excellent condition, too. Again, this is # 45 (hand numbered) of 400. Please view photos below. Thanks!
I have many records to list during the next month or so. You can view the compilation list by going to www.cochlearconcepts.com/records/compilations.htm as well as an artist/group list that I just started by going to www.cochlearconcepts.com/records/artists.htm. If there are records in my inventory that you would like to see listed sooner than later, please contact me. Records you buy from me are as described. If I accidentally miss a defect, politely contact me and we will work something out.

RECORD BUYERS: Please read the following regarding the sale of vinyl records.
I do NOT use the "Gold Mine" record-grading guidelines. Below are are five reasons why:
1. I've purchased records graded as "near mint" that I would have personally rated as "very good." Obviously, then, there's a subjective component when it comes to physical condition or record noise. Although condition is a judgment call, I try to be accurate.
2. I rate the condition of a phono record and its cover separately. A worn cover is one thing, a worn record is another. In some instances, the cover is more valuable to collectors than the album; in other instances, the record's sound is paramount.
3. It's difficult to judge a record's quality when the master sources were vinyl records or deteriorated tape: The sound of scratches and pops may be intrinsic to a record because they were already on the master source. This situation applies to a lot of the Sixties garage rock compilations I have to offer. Even a brand new record will have pops or noise if there were pops or noise on the original source. I suppose this point is obvious, but...
4. Even a brand-new, sealed record can present with surface noise and defects because of age, improper storage, or for reasons that defy logic. On rare occasions, a record that looks (or is) brand new can have audible defects. I generally LISTEN to the records I sell so that you know what to expect.
5. I use high-end (audiophile) record playing equipment--refer to photo above. If a record skips or can't be played on my equipment, it goes out with the trash. Please know, however, I am NOT the original owner of many records in my collection; consequently, I'm unable to give detailed information such as how many times the album was played, what stylus or tracking force was used, etc. The best I can do is state whether the record has audible scratches, groove wear, or noises that wouldn't ordinarily exist on a new record.
Below: Hearing research, music, acoustics, and well-being are major aspects of my life. Enjoy!
eBay policy: As per eBay policy, high bidders lose their place as winning bidder if the high bidder does not contact the seller within 3 business days of the end of the listing. In a listing with more than one bidder, a seller may contact the next highest bidder if the seller is unable to conclude the transaction with the high bidder within 3 business days.price rating
