Description
This is my VERY RARE and HIGHLY SOUGHT AFTER, ORIGINAL USA HITSVILLE PRESSING & WONDERFUL PIECE of TAMLA MOTOWN MEMORABILLIA and POP/ SOUL HISTORY - THE DETROIT PRESSED 7" single given to the original members of the UK TAMLA MOTOWN APPRECIATION SOCIETY in1965, by THE ARTISTS at HITSVILLE USA - "GREETINGS TO THE TAMLA MOTOWN APPRECIATION SOCIETY" - DM 097311, Produced by BRADSHAW and EDWARDS. Side One is 3.55, Side Two is 3.25. This copy is as pressed, with no original centre (being a USA pressing!). Basically over the two sides of the 7" record the full stable of senior Motown artists says "Hello" to the fans in ENGLAND. Side One starts with Motown Publicist, Margaret Phelps and Boss, Berry Gordy Jr. Then comes Smokey Robinson & The Miracles, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, The Marvelettes and The Temptations. Side Two has Martha & The Vandellas, The Contours, Eddie Holland (still at this point trying his hand as a singer),Kim Weston & finally, The Supremes. My copy has been played over the years and there is some noise background present, but it is most probably dust and it needs a good clean on one of those new cleaning machines! A PIECE OF HISTORY - AS SIMPLE AS THAT. ESSENTIAL!
