Description

PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question.   OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week.   Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback.   We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! We have served thousands of satisfied customers - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so. Thank you for your interest and support. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

**FIRST PRESS A2 / B2 MATRIX NUMBERS**

1970 UK HARVEST LP NO EMI LOGO ON LABEL SHVL 784..... ..... E J DAY TEXTURED GATEFOLD SLEEVE with original printed inner sleeve ...!

...........................................................................................................................................

1970 BRITISH first press on the HARVEST label in nifty acid-designed artwork gatefold cover. Decidedly one of the true greats in terms of "grows with repeat plays." Repeat plays necessary in order to unfold the multi-layers within...

By far lesser seen (truly rare!) second and sadly last Lp by FOREST..."Full Circle" was not released in America and while in similar structures of their ever-popular first Lp, FOREST expands beyond reflecting a rewarding listening experience, perhaps even better than their debut. Long hailed, "Full Circle" is categorized as flight psych folk works spiced with dark tones... absolutely essential, and living up to the hype when presenting such a compelling set of highly inventive, creative works. Music & lyrics are shrouded in depressives which could have easily been penned by Nick Drake. Overall the groups offering frames the early '70s UK folk-psych format culminating in best styles of fellow prized long-players recorded by Fairport Covention, Spriguns, ISB band, Dr Strangely Strange...

The "FULL CIRCLE" album synthesizes both brutal and beautiful elements, and the raw mystical edged tunes create weird and very enchanting music. There are much medieval influences as a basis, but the overall aesthetics are not luckily much idealized or fantasy related, but sincere and realistic, filled with mystery, misery and violence. Overall the music is peaceful but partly disturbing too. "Bluebell" is quite good track, and the last song "Autumn Childhood" is very weird with strange rhythm changes and several complex parts that should wind-up the progressive listening enthusiasts. "The Midnight Hanging of A Runaway Serf" is also quite affecting in its ancient sinister realism. "Graveyard" is also very beautiful and quite accessible song, but maybe best of them for me would be "Gypsy Girl & Rambleway", describing a love affair via very raw medieval sounds, in the end getting lost of psychedelic haze. Before this number there is also a fine instrumental track named "To Julie", which could have been performed by real ancient bards due the authentic feeling of it. This record is recommended sincerely for fans of depressing middle age & progressive music. As a hint,"Full Circle" may take several spins to open up properly, working best in setting up moods for sitting down to a table feast, carrying lots of ancient gastronomic delights.

CONDITION: The cover: rated: "EX" (excellent) potentially acceptable to any collectors collection, the fragile British grainy/textured gatefold remains highly colorful and sharp. Very little visual prior use is detectable so reflects considerable desirability. There are no delete marks, no split seams, no bends, and no writing  ... VERY collection worthy ...

The vinyl: Rated: M- smooth and clear over BOTH sides, plays without any surface making the album easily the *best* copy around...final collection copy , both UK Harvest labels are clean!

A cool addition to anyone's music library!
