Description
Up for grabs is the rare and highly collectable AC/DC lp box set, released in Australia in the early 80's. Features their first 6 studio lp's with legendary frontman Bon Scott, and also comes with the bonus 12" single that was only available with the set.
All records and covers are from the original set....have not been replaced with alternate releases. These sets were a limited edition have have since become very scarce and sought after. All records come in plastic inner sleeves. "Let There There Be Rock" and "TNT" have gatefold sleeves, while all other records come in standard sleeves as per the original releases.
Box is in (Good) condition. All four corners on the lid have split, and one corner on the base has. The seam that attaches the lid to the base has started to split from the bottom (bout 3 inches), but lid is still firmly attached. Some areas of insect damage to outer box, and edge, corner wear etc. No writing, stickers, residue etc.
Record covers have fared much better. There is a 1inch area of edge wear on the bottom centre of the 12" single cover...will grade at (Ex-). All other covers are around the (Ex) range, with varying but minor signs of wear such.... as tiny areas edgewear, tiny corner bumps, faint ring marks and hairline creases, fingerprints etc. No writing, stickers, tears etc.
All records are in (Ex) condition or better. They are clean and glossy....some show faint sleeve marks but they appear to have had little play. Excellent playing or keeper/archive copies.
Record labels are (Ex) or better. A couple of tiny spindle marks and fingerprints here and there, but otherwise unmarked.
This set would make an excellent playing set...or if you're lucky to find a better box would make a great keeper/investment set. Either way, grab this classic piece of Aussie rock n Roll history while you can!
