Description
RARE ACETATE by The Guytones on Soundcraft. "Ooh Bop Sha Boo" and "You Figure It Out"
The acetate is in VG+ condition. This is an extremely rare acetate record recorded in 1957. I am very convinced that this acetate is by the Doo Wop group - The Guytones despite their being no name of the artist on the label. I compared this record to the Guytones song "Ooh Bop Sha Boo" (on youtube) and it is a match and it certainly sounds the same as what is recorded on this acetate. The acetate may contain a slightly different take of the song, but it is obviously the same group. The "B" side song "You Figure It Out" is also a doo wop song, and it is a great song. I did some research on the internet about the discography of the Guytones and the song "You Figure It Out" has never appeared on any of their other record releases. So that means this is an UNRELEASED doo wop song !! Because acetates are very fragile I only played this record one time, and I will not play it again. The next play of this record will be reserved for the high bidder. I also am sorry, but I can not include a sound-file (I don't know how to do it) The acetate also comes with a Soundcraft paper sleeve. This is a Mega rare one of a kind record recorded in 1957 !!
For the next month or two I will be listing a bunch of 45 rpm records. I have about a 100 to list. These records belonged to my father who was an obsessive record collector. The records are mostly from the late 1950's and early 1960's. The records are early rock and roll records and many of the records are doo wop / vocal group, teen, early R&B, and northern soul. I even have two extremely rare acetates that will be listed in this lot. They are from an, as of yet, unknown doo wop group. (I will provide more details later) There are many odd labels, and there also are many radio station promotional records. Most of the records are very hard to find and some of them are extremely rare. I will be listing all of them with a low opening bid with no reserve. So please check back and keep an eye on my auctions. I will gladly combine items to save on shipping for all ebay customers. In the USA, the additional shipping charge will be 50 cents for each record wonafter the first one. For customers outside of the USA, I will have to figure the combined shipping charge at the end based on the weight of the package. Obviously, the heavier the package the higher the shipping charge. Thanks for looking.
