This is a scarce ORIGINAL 1969 PRESSING of a release by ALLEN GINSBERG called SONGS OF INNOCENCE AND EXPERIENCE BY WILLIAM BLAKE, TUNED BY ALLEN GINSBERG. The album was issued as Verve Forecast 3083; this is a STEREO copy. THE RECORD WAS WITHDRAWN FROM CIRCULATION SOON AFTER ITS RELEASE. COLLECTOR PRICE GUIDES VALUE IT AT $200. ALLEN is backed by BOD DOROUGH, DON CHERRY, PETER ORLOVSKY and ELVIN JONES. 21 cuts include THE SHEPHERD, THE ECCHOING GREEN, THE LAMB, THE LITTLE BLACK BOY, THE BLOSSOM, THE LITTLE BOY LOST, LAUGHING SONG, HOLY THURSDAY, NIGHT, NURSES SONG, THE SICK ROSE, AH SUNFLOWER, THE GARDEN OF LOVE, LONDON and THE HUMAN ABSTRACT.
