Description

HMV ALP 1286/1287, GOLD AND RED LABELS 2-RECORD SET.  Beethoven Choral Symphony.  Elisabeth Schwarzkopf et al and the Orchestra and Chorus of the 1951 Bayreuth Festival conducted by Wilhelm Furtwangler.  This item is in superb condition.  Both discs are beautifully clean with no visible marks and graded NEAR MINT.  Both sleeves are also very clean and intact with very little wear and graded EX+ to Near Mint.  The records seem to have been stored in a polythene cover as the sleeves still retain their vibrant colours.  The original poly lined inner sleeves are also in superb condition.  It is a pleasure to see such fine records so well preserved and I have no doubt that the winning bidder will be delighted.  It would be difficult to find a better example of this sought-after set.  I have set a very low starting bid and no reserve.
