Description

PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question.   OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week.   Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback.   We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! We have served thousands of satisfied customers - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so. MINT CLEAN

Very rare limited edition and long time no see DOUBLE album in striking color deluxe cover, accounting for the famous Brussels performance...here is a blow-by-blow of the actual accounting of the Brussels...

Brussels was the third stop on the tour, representing the end of the mighty ZEPPELIN... just 4 months before drummer John Bonham died.... This is a tight and energetic performance that is a good paradigm for what Zeppelin were trying to achieve in performance in the new decade. The arrangements are tight and aggressive with little of the long improvisations inherent from the past.

Robert Plant’s voice is unfortunately very hoarse in this show, limiting his capabilites and there are problems with the PA that are more audible in the soundboard recording. The tape picks up with Page’s train whistles before ”Train Kept A Rollin’” explodes on stage and after “Nobody’s Fault But Mine” Page gives a very short introduction to “Black Dog,” calling it “Chein Noir.”

Plant addresses the rowdiness of the audience before “In The Evening” saying, “Good evening all you people from Belgium and a few people from England I think. We’re gonna have a really, our intention is to have a nice time, so all this pushing. Don’t push. Keep it cool.”

Bonzo can be heard shouting "can you hear me?" as he counts-in to a thunderous "Nobody's Fault But Mine." The band hammers through a bone-crushing "Black Dog", introduced by Page as "chien noir." Plant's voice is like gravel as he barks aggressively through each verse. "The Rain Song" is beautiful. As the song ends, Plant asks the crowd "you remember that one?" joking "you're showin' your age." "Hot Dog" is introduced as "a song about two fools, three fools, in fact... lots of fools." Page shreds wildly through a blistering guitar solo during "Trampled Underfoot." "Since I've Been Loving You" is excellent. Page's fingers are like razor blades as he blazes through an emotionally charged guitar solo.

The band pummels the crowd with a devastating "Achilles Last Stand." Page stops playing momentarily near the beginning of "White Summer/Black Mountain Side" to calm the rowdy crowd, saying "we came here cause we really loved ya and we really wanted to play to ya... the trouble is, at the moment, I can't even hear myself play." He briefly hints at Chim Chim Cher-ee prior to “Stairway To Heaven” which is very strange. It is obvious Plant does not want to sing it, yet Page tends to stretch the guitar solo to extended lengths, experimenting with different approaches and styles. After the “tango” section in the solo, he develops interesting ideas but gets lost. Thankfully Bonham saves him and keeps the song together.

The crowd erupts as a high-speed "Rock and Roll" crashes into motion. The band closes the show with an outstanding "Whole Lotta Love." The theremin freakout is a cacophonous explosion of energy. Plant sings "that little boy's reach the age of thirty-one!" during his boogie rap, joking "I mean twenty-four, sorry." Page tears through a frenzied guitar solo during the riotous Boogie Chillen' section. As the band leaves the stage, Plant announces "it's been fantastic." An excellent performance.
