Description
Up for auction is an ultra rare 78 RPM acetate of Ricky Nelson's Rockabilly hit "Be Bop Baby". This acetate was discovered in the Glendora, California estate of Richard Delvy. He was the drummer of two well known 1960s Surf bands "The Bel-Airs" and "The Challengers". I don't know what the connection between Rick Nelson and Richard Delvy was, but can state factually that Mr. Delvy worked as a composer, arranger, music manager, producer, and music publisher. He owned the rights to several songs such as "Wipe Out" and "Mr. Moto" .
This acetate is in mint condition, still has the chalk markings on it from the day it was used in September of 1957. In addition, it is still in its original PRESTO Recording Corporation paper sleeve.This acetate comes from my personal collection. Be sure to view my other auctions.Thank you , and have a nice day.
