### Ultra-Rare German Audiophile Test Pressing / White Label Promo LP (DECCA Stereo SXL 2243 Reissue)


Up for auction is a legendary orchestral audiophile demonstration piece: an authentic **German Test Pressing / White Label Promo** ("Unverkäufliche Musterplatte") of the April 1996 audiophile reissue of Isaac Albéniz's *Suite Iberia* and Joaquín Turina's *Danzas Fantásticas* (originally recorded in May 1960 at Victoria Hall, Geneva).


This particular Ansermet recording is historically revered by audiophiles for its massive dynamic shifts—moving from the softest pianissimo to thundering fortissimo passages—making it a spectacular reference disc to showcase high-end systems. Remastered directly from the original analogue session tapes, the lacquers were cut in London by legendary engineer Tony Hawkins at DECCA using a Neumann VMS 80 lathe. Pressed onto premium **180g Virgin Vinyl** in Germany, the commercial release was strictly limited to 1,000 copies per stamper. An advance *Musterplatte* test pressing like this is incredibly scarce and a centerpiece for any serious classical collection.
