I'VE LISTED THIS AS A 45, BUT IT PLAYS AT 33 1/3

YEARS ago there was a guy who sold rare records ( mostly 45's ) out of his house in Akron, Ohio, near the university. I can't recall his real name, but his nickname was "Slim". Anyway, this is one of the records I bought from him. I've had this for almost 40 years, and I only played it once. I no longer have a turntable to confirm the quality.

This came out in early 1964 from Capitol Records to promote "Meet The Beatles", the USA version of "With The Beatles". It also includes the recordings of "I Want to Hold Your Hand", "This Boy", and "It Won't Be Long".

This is an open-end interview disc. The Beatles comments were already recorded onto the disc, and there is a gap in the sound where local DJ's could ask the questions that were on the accompanying script, and it appeared that local guys were asking the REAL Beatles these questions.

Side one features the interview and "I Want To Hold Your Hand", and the other 2 songs are on side 2.

This has been stored in a poly-sleeve for decades, but it still turned a little yellow near the top and shows a few gentle folds. There are no tears or rips. Slight ring wear where the sleeve presses against the record.

Today ( June 25 ), I was informed that unless the disc has the standard Capitol rainbow band, it is most likely counterfeit. I apologize if I misled anybody, but I didn't know. The winner can retract his bid if he/she so desires.

I tried to change the titled so it said " counterfeit? ", but apparently once it's named, you can't change it....I tried. I don't want to remove it in case somebody WANTS it anyway.
