UP FOR AUCTION IS THE BEATLES CHRISTMAS ALBUM. WHICH WAS SENT EXCLUSIVELY TO THE FAN CLUB MEMBERS ONLY. THE LABEL IS PRINTED “NOT FOR SALE”.  I DON’T KNOW IF THIS IS AN ORIGINAL OR A HIGH QUALITY REPRODUCTION.  THIS I DO KNOW: ALL LEGITIMATE ORIGINAL COPIES HAVE 4 ETCHINGS IN THE TRAIL OFF OR “DEAD WAX” ON THE VINYL.  #1. CSBC-1-A ON SIDE 1 AND SPC-2-B ON SIDE 2.  #2. A CRUDELY DRAWN RIFLE ( SYMBOL OF WINCHESTER, VA. WHERE ALL LEGIT COPIES WERE PRESSED).  #3. A HAND ETCHED “ef”.  #4. A SCRIPTED TYPSET THAT READS “BELL SOUND”.  THIS DISK HAS ALL THESE ETCHINGS ON IT. HOWEVER, ON THE FRONT COVER, THE PICTURE SECOND TO THE LEFT ON THE BOTTOM, THE WORDS THEATRE ROYAL IS NOT CLEARLY LEGIBLE OVER JOHN'S HEAD. I HAVE HAD THIS IN MY POSSESSION SINCE THE EARLY 1970s. I HAVE POSTED PICTURES, LOOK AT THEM CAREFULLY BEFORE BIDDING AND DECIDE FOR YOURSELF. PLEASE ASK ANY QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE BEFORE BIDDING !!!

THIS ALBUM IS IN VERY GOOD+ CONDITION. THE JACKET AND DISC HAVE NO REAL CONDITION ISSUES. THE DISC HOWEVER, HAS SOME VERY MINOR SCRATCHES.

In December 1970, in the wake of the band's break-up, the UK fan-club sent out a compilation LP of all seven previous fan-club Christmas recordings, entitled From Then To You. The master tapes having been mislaid, the LP was mastered from copies of the original flexi discs. In the US, the LP was repackaged as The Beatles' Christmas Album and sent out by the fan-club around springtime 1971. With no new recording, the LP served to remind that the Beatles were no more, but had the advantage of durability over the original flexi discs, and, for the US, it was the first time the 1964 and 1965 messages had been made available.
