Offered for sale: CBM's 1973 release of "The Beatles: Live In Washington D.C."
This album was, I believe, the earliest appearance on vinyl of the Beatles' first live U.S. concert show at the Washington Coliseum on February 11, 1964.
Side A (Matrix #3795 C/1) consists of the D.C. show; Side B (Matrix #3571 B) was lifted from side two of the earlier 1972 CBM release "Live In Europe & US TV Casts", and consists of several TV appearances. According to the collector's website "The Amazing Kornyphone Label", part of this LP was copied and re-released by Wizardo in 1975.
Sleeve and insert are in excellent condition, although an early (original owner, maybe?) owner's handwriting appears in the upper right-hand corner of the front sleeve insert. The illustration on the back of the sleeve is a wild psychedelic montage.
Record is on heavy vinyl, and plays well without skips or major scratches. It has moderate surface noise, particularly during the intro and outro grooves of each side.
