Snooky [Pryor] & Moody [Jones], Snooky’s Telephone Blues/Snooky & Moody’s Boogie (Blue Horizon 45-1003) (1964).
UK collector reissue of Old Swingmaster 18 (recorded 1948). Important early Chicago blues recordings.
One of an early set of limited-edition 45rpm releases on the Blue Horizon label.
Only 99 copies were ever pressed of this item. In its original plain paper sleeve.
From the collection of the noted UK blues writer – and Blue Horizon co-founder – Neil Slaven.
Condition: a fine copy that has been in the owner’s possession since it was first issued. Minimal wear, no signs of damage, labels clean. Paper sleeve slightly tanned at edges and a little creased.
Very rare.
This is part of a large collection of Blue Horizon and related-label 45s that will be advertised here over the next few weeks.
