Description
Buddy Moss, Georgia Blues Volume Two (Kokomo K-1003) (1968).
Kokomo was a small collector-run UK label of the late '60s that released half a dozen or so LPs, reissuing rare old blues 78s, in limited editions of 99 copies each. From that series comes this compilation of 1933-41 recordings by singer/guitarist Buddy Moss. Accompanying musicians include Curley Weaver, Fred McMullen, Josh White, Brownie McGhee, Sonny Terry and Oh Red or Robert Young.
Red River Blues/Prowlin' Gambler Blues/Tampa Strut/Who Stole The Lock/When The Hearse Rolls Me/Insane Blues/Dough Rolling Papa/Some Lonesome Day//Jinx Man Blues/Evil Hearted Woman/Worrysome Woman/Mistreated Boy/You Need A Woman/Joy Rag/I'm Sittin' Here Tonight/Unfinished Business
Condition: disc has some scuffs and other light marks, almost certainly characteristics of the pressing rather than of wear/damage. Jacket has a few very minor creases but no significant wear or damage. Back clean. Rare. (To the best of the seller's knowledge, only one copy of this LP has come up on eBay in the last decade or so, and that was four years ago.)
Note to buyers: it's not always easy to predict the weight of a parcel; some packing materials are heavier than others. Should the postage on an item turn out to be less than I have charged you, I will promptly refund the difference.
