YESTERDAY AND TODAY 2nd STATE BUTCHER PASTE-OVER COVER Capitol T 2553 MONO
Up for auction is the highly coveted 2nd state butcher cover. This is a nice example of the much sought after Beatles rarity. Ringo's V-neck is clearly visible right where it's supposed to be.
The Cover is nice and clean with the only distraction being the lower left corner where a previous owner made a feeble attempt to turn it into a 3rd state!
No writing anywhere. There is minimal ringwear (mostly on the back). The seams are intact with the exception of the bottom right at the opening. It is split about an inch. The spine is intact except for the area where the peel was attempted. There is slight age yellowing on the whites with a small stain of some sort on the back near the Capitol logo. Conservatively graded a VG+
RIAA #6
The vinyl would conservatively grade a solid VG+. Some would grade it higher. I knocked it down a bit because of a few marks on side 1. The vinyl still retains it's full factory luster and shine with a few scuffs here and there throughout. The labels are easily NM Clean, clean, clean!
Comes with it's original orange Capitol inner sleeve. VG++ with a tiny split at the bottom.
