Description

A rare opportunity to acquire a copy of the first ever UK single for the Beatles. This record was originally released in Germany in 1961 under the name of Tony Sheridan and The Beat Men, and then in the UK in 1962 under the name of Tony Sheridan and The Beatles.

A-side is My Bonnie, and B-side is The Saints

It is on the Polydor label, number NH 66833. The label carries the Polydor banner logo and Progressive Music Ltd Made in England.Unlike most singles, the labels on each side of the record are the opposite way up to each other. The record itself is in great condition. The label is almost as new, with only the most minute amount of spindle wear around the centre hole. The record appears mint with no significant marks or blemishes. The is some minor crackling when played but no more than you would expect of a record over 40 years old.

The original Polydor orange and white sleeve is creased around the record and has a small piece missing from the centre hole on one side(see photo). There is also a tiny tear at the top. The record number has been written on one side in ink, and there is a small ink cross on the other side.Condition is fair for its age.

Don't miss this chance to get your hands on probably the most important Beatles single ever produced.
