This is a highly collectable early UK mono pressing of The Beatles – The Beatles, known worldwide as the legendary White Album. Released in 1968, this double album remains one of the most important, daring and loved records in popular music history.
Early UK mono copies are especially sought after by collectors because they represent the album in its original British form: dedicated mono mix, Apple labels, numbered top-opening sleeve and early matrix details. This copy has the numbered sleeve No. 0208446 and early UK mono matrix numbers visible in the runouts, including XEX 709-1, XEX 710-1, XEX 711-1 and XEX 712-1 style early matrix information.

The vinyl is graded VG (Very Good). The records have clearly been used and loved over the years. There are visible signs of play, including light scratches, scuffs, hairlines and many micro-scratches. Many of these marks are mainly noticeable under strong angled light and macro photography, but there are also several deeper scratches present.
Playback on my turntable is generally normal and enjoyable with a vintage character. There may be some background noise, occasional crackle and clicks, as expected from a well-loved original 1968 copy. On two songs I noticed slight skips/jumps. This is clearly mentioned for honesty.
For me, this does not remove the soul of the record — it tells the story of how much this album was played, loved and lived with. The sound still carries the magic and atmosphere of the original UK mono pressing, but please understand this is not a near mint archive copy.
Sleeve Condition: VG
The original numbered top-loader sleeve is graded VG (Very Good). It remains presentable for its age, but shows honest vintage wear: rubbing, yellowing, laminate marks, creasing, edge wear, corner wear and general signs of handling and storage.
The embossed “The Beatles” title and the number No. 0208446 are visible. The black inner sleeves are included and show age-related creasing and wear. Please inspect all photos carefully, as they form an important part of the description.
