Super rare original 1997 first pressing of Blink 182’s Dude Ranch on Grilled Cheese record label.
The vinyl has only been played a couple of times over the last 23 years. I did a full album audio test on it today before listing it. It did not skip at all and sounds fantastic. I am conservatively grading it VG+ to set appropriate expectations. Both sides have only a few minor surface scuffs, none of which affect play . These could probably be taken care of with a solid cleaning.
The jacket has some minor bend around the corners on the side that the gatefold opens(see the photos of these corners. I photographed close ups of these corners on the front and back of the jacket. The closeups make it look more exaggerated but I try my best to be as thorough as I can with descriptions because I want you to be happy. There are a few creases on the front cover along the spine (maybe a quarter inch each), pretty typical of a record this age along the spine of a gatefold. Not major. No seem splitting.
Slight signs of wear starting to develop across the front of the album when you tilt it and the light hits it just right(see the last photo above and below where the flash is reflecting off of the album.) I did not notice these without tilting it in the light. It seems kind of similar to ring wear only they are two straight lines rather than the circular indentation you see with ring wear. Back of jacket looks great with just a light bit of ring wear starting to develop when you tilt it under the light. Overall I personally would give it VG+.
I hate grading albums and jackets because it is very subjective and everyone has their own idea about how they would grade records. I can say I was very pleased with the way this album played when I did the audio test and seriously considered keeping it in my collection after listening to the album in its entirety today. It sounds great. I would say excellent on the audio playback and VG+ for the appearance of the vinyl and jacket cover overall.
