SUPERB 1st edition white label promo of Bruce Springsteen "THE RIVER"--a monumental and muscular piece of youth, sin, love, deceit, loss and simple Americana all weaved into a 2-LP masterpiece. This radio-station exclusive, ultra-limited piece includes the accompanying letter by then-CBS president Bruce Lundvall on CBS Records letterhead! Released 1980 with an official manufacturer's gold-embossed promotional stamp on the upper left of the back cover. The white labels of the two records indicate in full-view the demonstration "NOT FOR SALE" alerts by CBS. Custom pictorial inner sleeves.
