The Canadian version of the band with the name "Nomads" were from Edmonton, Alberta. They were a rock and roll band who formed around 1964 and had some regional success. They released four 45's, which were all released in 1967: Cry Baby b/w By Myself on Damon Records D-001; Dizzy Miss Lizzy b/w Walkin' Mary Home on Damon Records D-002; Bittersweet b/w Come On Now on Damon Records D-003; Hey Joe b/w The Letter on Damon Records D-004. They were known as Lenny Richards and the Nomads and also released a 45 promotional picture sleeve for the Pepsi-Cola lemon-lime soft drink "Teem Twist", along with "Frankie Lee and the Fantasies" and "Mr 5 by 5", in 1965 on Startime MG-1145 (Teem Twist No. 1/ Peppermint Twist/ Teem Twist No. 2/ Slow Twistin'). The band members were: Garry White on guitar & organ; Les Vincent on bass 7 vocals; Don Remeika on drums; Hugh Brockie on lead guitar; Wally Petruk on sax & flute; Garry McDonnall on trumpet & leader; Lennie Richards on vocals.
I have been a Canadian rock-a-billy artist collector for 25 or more years and Rock-A-Tunes sleeve's are almost imossible to find. They are very rare- you will have a hard time finding another.
NOTE: SHIPPING TO CANADA $3, TO USA $5 AND OVERSEAS $9.00
All records are strictly graded and come with a 100% money back guarantee. All records are original, first pressings unless otherwise noted. If the record is an LP, EP or has a picture sleeve, the record is graded first, followed by the cover or sleeve.
Grading is based on the following criteria
Mint = store stock new
Mint- = near new with only one or two small insignificant defects
VG++ = extremely nice. Would be Mint-, except for a couple of light scratches or scuffs, which do not affect play
VG+ = a nice, but used record that may have a series of light scuffs or scratches. It probably plays with a few pops, but has no serious problems.
VG = a well-used record that still sounds OK when played, but may have moderate surface noise, pops, etc.
VG- = a very well-worn record that plays through without skipping, but will do until a better copy comes along.
Payment by PayPal preferred.
NOTE: DO NOT PAY UNTIL YOU GET INVOICE. ACTUAL SHIPPING COST WITHOUT TRACE NUMBER IS $3 IN CANADA AND $5 IN USA.
