PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! 1968 first printing ...This is one of the best acid-punk LPs ever! Excellent Vox organ/fuzz teen garage psych and the covers are pretty fantastic as well. The cough syrup high school play vibe of 'Deaf, Dumb & Blind' must be heard to be believed. Easily one of the best on the label with lots of classy psych-punk originals and a truly unique vibe all through it
Formed in 1966, this Long Island, New York band was born right on the cusp of the burgeoning psychedelic scene, and their razzle dazzle music reflects such an environment. Everything you always wanted to know about Bohemian Vendetta can be heard here.
In their infancy, the band cocked their ears towards torn and frayed white boy blues. Early on they delivered the raw garage feel of tunes such as “Like Stoned” which owed a growl and a grunt to the Pretty Things, and the hormone-charged bite of “Irresistible” could pass as a Shadows of Knights number. But as time marched on, Bohemian Vendetta, who were initially billed as the Bohemians, found their own niche, and what a cool niche it was.
We would imagine that these guys could give the Electric Prunes some competition at the local civic center's battle of the bands, as they kick off with the barnburner "Riddles and Fairytales being a prime garage rocker and deserves a prime spot in the garahe rock hall of fame! Their take on the Stones "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction" gets high time for some great acid guitar leads. Elsewhere "Paradox City," "Images," and "Deaf, Dumb, and Blind" all nicely meld some searing acid rock guitar to some mind-bending structures.
Yes, Bohemian Vendetta are a good candidate for being the quintessential acid garage band.
