CONDITION: V+ / V Has some scuffing, but not deep wear. Quite a bit of gloss. Good playing copy.
Rare and Legendary Chicago company, that also included Abco and Artistic. It was owned by Eli Toscano who was buried in Lake Michigan.
Standard 78 Grading N-, E+, E, E-, V+, V, V-, G, F, PN- New Minus. Appears very close to new or mint. Maybe unplayed, or perhaps only a couple careful plays. E+ Excellent Plus. Full gloss, looks and plays like new, except for perhaps a few tiny signs of handling. E Excellent. Still near full gloss with mild signs of limited, careful play. Few inaudible scuffs or scratches. E- Excellent Minus. Still shiny but without the lustre of a new record. Mild wear and scuffs are present. V+ Very Good Plus. An "Average Used" 78 in which general play, use and scuffs have dulled the surface. V Very Good. Moderate, even wear throughout. Generally still plays loud, well above level of surface noise. V- Very Good Minus. Wear is now deeper, and sound is noisier. Sound should be a bit above surface noise. G Good. Very worn, lots of surface noise and/or distortion. Should play through without skips. F Fair. Really beat, may skip. P Poor. Wall decoration, at best.
