Description
Record is visually VG, very glossy with several light scratches but nothing that causes skipping or otherwise seriously affects play. Both sides play through more like VG+, without skipping and with some light surface wear that does not overpower the music. There is some intermittent hissing on side 2, track 1, but given the fact that my original copy of Sun LP 1225 (of which this is a 1961 reissue) has the same hissing at the same moments on the same track, I can't help but wonder if the hissing is present on the master tapes themselves. Either way, it does not seriously detract from the listening experience. This record is a perfectly fine and very enjoyable daily player. Labels are in unbelievable condition, with almost no wear at all (see photos).
The jacket is in very strong VG+ condition. Front and back covers are gorgeous, with some very light general wear. Spine and bottom seam are generally in solid shape, showing some light general wear throughout, and with ~2" of splitting at the outer edge of the bottom seam and ~1cm of exposed cardboard at the top of the spine. The top seam is split at the outer ~5" and the innermost ~1.5". There is no evidence of tape or tape removal on this jacket. I use the Goldmine Grading Guide and grade conservatively.
Matrix numbers are SU-121 ?250 / SU-122 ?251.
