Description: Up for your consideration is the next in a series of unique discs, this one by Chandos McRill and the Excellons.  

Internet research showed:
Original mega-rare Starday Custom Series 45... Stardust label.  "A" side is a great country/rockabilly bopper, "B" side is a rockabilly instrumental. Search Youtube for a listen! 

Several unique things about this auction:  Firstly, this disc retains the original shine with some very, very light marks on the "A" side and a somewhat pronounced warp (which did NOT skip when played) grading by sight in normal room light.   I'm sure if you took this and put it under a 1000 watt bulb, you'd probably find something that makes it less than mint.  If you're that kind of collector, let me suggest this auction is not for you.

I don't claim this record is mint.  I took the time to play it and noted a scattered very, very light surface noise and a few very light pops on both sides.  There were NO skips, and my needle tends to track fairly lightly.  I'd audibly average the two sides better than VG+(excellent).  You can assign your own grade based on my comments and the grading scale shown below.  Keep in mind it may play differently for you than it did for me based on differences in audio equipment.  As of this listing, I am attempting to lessen the warp by putting the disc between two larger books with some weight on top.  I've done some Internet reading on how to lessen a warp, one method mentioned is putting it between two pieces of glass inside an oven for a short time, but I've never done that and am too conservative for that approach.  I know there is equipment that can lessen this, I don't own that.  Hope this info is of help to the new owner of this MEGARARE disc.

UPDATE: 8:16:17: okay, I've had this between two books with weight on it for over a month, took it out, maybe a LITTLE less warped, still very noticeable.  Played again without skipping.

Secondly, At the time of this listing, no recent past/present sales on e-bay.  The most recent past Internet sale I could find from about 5 years ago was for $398!  NO OTHER COPIES FOUND FOR SALE OUT ON THE INTERNET!

I am using the Goldmine scale of G=Good(1), VG = Very Good(2), VG+ = Very Good Plus(excellent)(3), NM = Near Mint(4) when grading the disc(s). 

Here is a summary of the record(s):

Additional criteria I use when audibly grading records for people:

• NM(4) = absolutely nothing wrong at all (very rarely happens--I've even opened sealed records and they don't play Near Mint)
• 3.5-3.9 = very, very light surface noise
• 3.1-3.4 = very light surface noise, very light pops
• VG+(3) = up to light pops and light surface noise (below this, one's enjoyment is affected, very subjective)
• VG(2) = up to medium pops and moderate surface noise
• G(1) = up to heavy pops and heavy surface noise

I normally ship 7" discs in 12"x10"x3" boxes.  Weight with box is about 9 oz. Shipping is:  $2.63 Media Rate (0-1 pounds) + $1.00 box/tape/packing  = $3.63.

Buyer pays shipping/handling. Standard method within U.S. is Media Rate, $3.63.  This includes delivery confirmation which enables you to track shipping of your package online. Outside U.S., e-mail location to determine S/H costs prior to auction end. Insurance / other methods of shipping cost extra. Payment received within ten days of auction ending.
