Description
Are you a COC fan? Dig the Raleigh NC Punk sound? Then you need this 1983 record!!! As far as I can tell this is the first time that Corrosion of Conformity was ever released on Vinyl and I’ll bet that there were only 500 of these pressed. The vinyl is in perfect shape as I am the original owner I can tell you that it was only ever played once on a very good record player. The insert is in great shape with just a little fraying on the edge that stuck out of the plastic sleeve. It has no other rips or blemishes. Eric Eycke sings (if memory serves). There are three COC songs Indifferent, Too Cool and Poison Planet.
There are also songs from “Stillborn Christians”, Bloodmobile, and No Lables. All very raw and energetic Southern punk that made the Raleigh scene rock!!! I was in Raleigh in the Summer of 1985 and COC opened up for the Descendents in this tiny little club that was packed and hotter than hell. I’ll never forget that gig. COC tore it UP!!! Eric had already left the band officially but he still did a couple of songs with them during one of which he climbed out over the crowd on the ceiling support structure and sang upside down until dropping into the crowd. Punk rock baby!!!
This is a very cool and very rare 7” record. As I have not been able to find one anywhere on line and only found a slight mention of it at the bottom of COC’s Wikipedia page I believe that this opportunity won’t come again anytime soon.
