This is a deep groove both sides purple label issue Decca records 12" issue. Chico Hamilton Quintet “Sweet Smell of Success” Decca DL 8614 This is an excellent swinging west coast session with all the tunes having a great happy feeling. SOME RARE AND EARLY WORK OF JOHN PISANO - GUITAR this alone makes this an unbelievable session. There is also excellent support and solo work by Fred Katz and Paul Horn making this a must have!! Beautiful Cover art photo of Burt Lancaster and Tony Curtis. Wow!!! Recorded: November, 1958 LA Excellent liner notes provided. Record: Excellent - Has a very shiny surface and Sounds Great. Jacket: Excellent – Very minor writing on back cover. No seam splits or other damage. Record has been separated from jacket to reduce any further damage.
