THIS ALBUM WAS BOUGHT AT A SMALL THRIFT SHOP JUST OUTSIDE OF PITMAN,NJ. THE OLDER GENTLEMAN WHO WORKED AT THE SHOP, HAD ALSO WORKED THE NIGHTSHIFT AT THE PITMAN PLANT UNTIL THE EARLY 1980'S. HE SAID THE PICTURE ALBUM WAS AN UNOFFICIAL RELEASE, THAT THE NIGHT CREW WOULD SOMETIMES MAKE A VERY LIMITED UNOFFICIAL RUN OF PICTURE, COLOR VINYL, ETC. OF DIFFERENT ALBUMS (10 OR 20 COPIES AT THE MOST) AND KEEP THEM FOR THEMSELVES AND FRIENDS.                                                   HERE IS ANOTHER STORY ON THE LAST PICTURE LP OF THE PITMAN FAMILY OF MUSIC THAT WAS SOLD ON EBAY LAST YEAR :

The Times They Are A-Changin' was included as a 35 second excerpt of the first verse. This is a special CBS album for internal circulation only (employees of CBS Records and Columbia House). It was released to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the CBS pressing plant in Pitman, New Jersey.

This picture disc version of the album went up for auction on eBay in 2010, and sold for $1,000. An abbreviated description of the album said:

The rarest Bob Dylan item, The rarest Bruce Springsteen, The rarest Pink Floyd, The rarest Paul McCartney, and why? Because this is the only picture disc promotional record of the Pitman Family of Music, Our First 20 years, CBS Records 1960 - 1980 I've ever seen. I've seen a few of the Black vinyl LP's with the image of this picture disc as the labels on black vinyl. 200 of the black vinyl ones were created and only for employees at the Pitman CBS Pressing Plant. I was told 10 of the picture discs were created for upper management only making this the rarest of the rare picture discs.  You'll never see another one and I've never seen one mentioned anywhere on the net. This was given to me by the VP of CBS who at one time worked at Pitman and It was given to me to match the letters we're selling off the building from Pitman (see our other ad) but I feel this picture disc is soooo much rarer then the letters, it deserves to be auctioned off by itself. Matrix numbers are AS 15663-1A / BS 15663-1A. On the black version, this is handwritten. On the picture disc, it's stamped. Each song is close to 20 to 30 seconds each. The disc opens with a speaker on the overview of the PItman pressing plant and their history (which is they pressed some of the most popular albums of all time). 

Probably the coolest piece of music history you'll ever own and you'll probably be the only one in the world that might have this copy. I'VE NEVER SEEN THIS COPY EVER SOLD BEFORE. I CAN NOT CONFIRM NOR DENY THAT YOU MAY BE THE ONLY OWNER OF THE ONLY KNOWN COPY LEFT IF YOU BUY THIS................................................

ONE EXPERT HAS CLAIMED THE PICTURE ALBUM TO BE A FOREIGN FAKE, BUT, IT WOULD BE HARD TO IMAGINE A FAKE SURFACING A FEW MILES OUTSIDE OF THE SMALL TOWN OF PITMAN WITHIN MINUTES OF THE SOON TO BE CLOSED PLANT AND COMING FROM A FORMER EMPLOYEE.....ANY QUESTIONS ARE WELCOMED ALONG WITH ANY OTHER INFO ON THIS RARE FIND....
