Description
Original Brax Records release by The Five Dapps, backed by Joe Hunter and his band — a cornerstone Detroit doo-wop 45 from the late 1950s. Featuring “Do Whop A Do” and “You’re So Unfaithful,” this single captures the raw, harmony-driven energy that would soon blossom into the Motown sound.
This copy comes from the private collection of a legendary Detroit crate-digger and one-time DJ, and bears his signature preservation touches — light tape reinforcement around the label edges and a faint etched “1958” in the runout. These details authenticate its provenance and connection to Detroit’s early R&B underground.
Own a piece of rock history from an epic collection of rare 45’s, filled with dj copies and promos of early northern soul, doo-woo, rockabilly, detroit garage and psyche rock.
Condition: VG — clean shine, light surface wear, plays well with mild background crackle. Labels have taped sections and light etching consistent with era and collector’s preservation methods.
