I know nothing of collecting albums, and therefore this album is sold AS IS. I took this album to a record store and had them grade it. The following is what I was told in terms of condition/grade:
Cover: Good+ Ringwear on the front left, visible in pics. Corner creased on inside edge, also visible in pics.
Spine: Badly Dinged. Again, visible pics.
Side A: Good
Side B: Good- very scuffed!
This album is a rare pressing, only 1000 were made! It is not in very good condition, but it is HTF!! How many of these 1000 are left? Nobody knows, but the number must be really,really low. Do you really want to pass this up?
What you are looking at is the American version of "Waiting For The Sun" by the one and only Doors. This is the hardest to find version, and the most valuable Doors album. Goldmine Record Album Price Guide has this USA domestic wax (EKL 4024) at a $1000.00 price tag (for near mint condition)! This is almost twice as high as the next most costly record by The Doors. This album is not in near mint condition, but how many times have you seen the American mono version on eBay? I've been watching for a while, and I have never seen an American version on here since 2005. I've been told that there were only a 1000 copies of this made in mono, for American release, in 1968. The reason why numbers were so low is because MONO versions, used by AM radio stations, were being flushed away the same year (1968) to make room for STEREO versions being used on FM radio stations. This is the last USA Doors LP pressed in MONO.
My mother was dating a radio DJ at the time this was released and he gave her this copy. She wrote her name in cursive on the inside flap, which is visible in the pics. She loved this album (apparently side B moreso than A!) and is the original owner.
Again, I must state that I am not a collector, and have described this to the best of my ability, as well as having had it graded at a local record store. There are no playability guarantees, and what is pictured is what you will receive, and in the condition you will receive it.
