EDGAR ALLAN POE - TALES OF TERROR.
1959 TOP RANK VANGUARD LP. CAT No: 45/001
VINYL = VG+; SLEEVE = VG (STORAGE & HANDLING WEAR, LAMINATE LIFTING ON OPENING EDGE).

A real odd bod this one, remember those things that didn't quite stick around too long? Eight track cartridges, minidiscs, and the like? This is one of those curiosities. A rare 1959 UK 15-track mono LP of Edgar Allan Poe stories, read by Nelson Olmsted. It's on the rare gold print 'deep groove' red 'Top Rank / Vanguard' label and it also contains no less than ninety five minutes of audio. Impossible you say? This curiosity bills itself as the first ever 16 2/3 RPM Long Playing Recording. It kind of makes any attempt to describe condition academic as you will be unlikely to be able to play it, although you could at 33RPM & halve the speed of the audio using tape or a computer, if you want to of course. A very odd gem in very nice condition.
