Musicmark! is not an expert Elvis collector or an Elvis business, I am an Elvis fan who has been collecting Elvis records since 1963. I'm breaking out all my best for this week. This may be the most rare Elvis record I own and I'm offering it up for bids during this 10 day auction. I didn't even know this record existed until I started on ebay a couple years ago. Released in February 1973. This EP was made especially for juke-boxes and contains six tracks from the Aloha from Hawaii via Satellite LP. It was released in a 33 1/3 Compact Stero format - the ONLY Elvis EP released in stero and the second of only two at the 33 1/3 speed. The front cover is identical to the LP's, but without the song titles and Quadradisc information. RCA-prepared title strips for jukeboxes were included with the album but I do not have the strips.
This record and picture sleeve easily rates a very good plus, the picture sleeve may be in near mint condition. There is really no sign of record ring, shelf wear, no writing, no stickers, all seams intact. Just a beautiful sleeve in excellent condition. The vinyl shines like new, no stickers or writing on the label. There are a few what look like spindal marks on the record label. I played it through and it sounds great, tracks flat, with no skips and just a hint of surface noise.
