*RARE* ELVIS PRESLEY 1956 ALBUM - ROCK 'N' ROLL - HMV CLP 1093. Condition is Used. Dispatched with Royal Mail Special Delivery. COVER: Laminated both sides but has Sellotape applied around all edges including the open edge, there is a short section of stickiness from the tape on the top edge. It has corner damage and Sellotaped repair to a tear from the front open edge - See images. The original inner sleeve is in good condition. RECORD: There are just a few hairline surface scratches, all superficial and not affecting the sound quality which is crisp and clear with good depth and resonance, still sounds more authentic and exciting in this format. There are just two light clicks at the start of side 2 track 4, otherwise there is no surface noise and it is quiet between tracks but the run-in section of side 1 has surface noise which stops before the start of the first track. This copy is in really great condition for its age, it's a real shame about the state of the cover. All tracks have been checked and played in full and at suitably loud volume using a Citronic pro PD-1s MK2 direct drive turntable, QSC GX3 power amp and Sonus Faber speakers.
