"CLEVELAND ORCHESTRA" RADIO SHOW TRANSCRIPTION DISCS ISSUED BY THE ARMED FORCES RADIO SERVICE.  ONE COMPLETE 60 MINUTE RADIO PROGRAM ON THESE TWO 16 INCH, VINYL, 33 1/3 RPM DISCS.  THESE DISCS WERE ISSUED TO RADIO STATIONS FOR BROADCAST TO US TROOPS DURING WORLD WAR TWO ONLY AND NOT AVAILABLE TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC.  VERY RARE! 

"Cleveland Orchestra" radio program #21 from December 24, 1944 featuring The Cleveland Orchestra from Severance Hall on the campus of Western Reserve University in Cleveland OH conducted by Eugene Aynsley Goossens (conductor of The Cincinnati Symphony)

"Douze From A Suite For Two Pianos" by Debussy *

"Overture From Judges Of The Secret Court" by Hector Berlioz

"Suite Of 3 Pieces: Earl of Oxford March / Pavanna / The Bells" by William Byrd

"Symphonetta" by Eugene Aynsley Goossens (with excellent introduction about the origins of the music)

* I'm not quite certain about the exact title of the first piece of music.  The announcer states "he's (Goossens) about to conduct the Cleveland Orchestra in his own transcription of Douze from a suite for two pianos by Debussy".   It sounds like "Douze" but I'm not exactly certain

I could not find any reference to any other existing copy of this radio broadcast in any radio log

DISCS ARE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH EXCELLENT OR BETTER SOUND, BEAUTIFUL DISCS.  PLEASE NOTE THAT MOST STANDARD TURNTABLES WILL NOT PLAY 16 INCH DISCS DUE TO THEIR SIZE.  IF REQUESTED, I CAN MAKE A CD COPY OF BOTH  DISCS FOR THE BUYER ONLY
