Description
Here's a celebrated rarity. Clive Erard's Dance Band (misspelled "Errard" on the label) plays "Ten Cents A Dance" on flexible Filophone 203. Billie Lockwood sings very well, including the verse, punctuated by hot breaks and obbligati, and a hot trumpet player goes crazy for a full chorus, plus the coda. With that, Clive Erard's sole issued contribution to hot jazz is over.

On the other side, another band -- not Erard's, possibly Arthur Lally's -- plays a nice version of "Sing Something Simple." Tom Barratt sings, and the proceedings include a hot piccolo solo!
Popsike reports a single transaction for this item in 2018. I acquired the record in that transaction.
This record is in EE- condition. There is very little groove wear. As is common with these flexible discs, it isn't flat and will need extra weight to track properly. I've included a torn Filmophone sleeve. Both sides on YouTube (not this copy).
I'm a longtime collector who is downsizing. I know how to pack records.
