Here is a SUPER RARE album from my collection offered up for auction: An ORIGINAL 1968 DEBUT Lp by Neil Young "Neil Young", his first album, pressing with "no name" cover, in very well cared for condition, vinyl looks minimally played! Released in 1968 by Reprise records RS 6317 STEREO, this early pressing features the cover image the artist (Young included) had intended. But, the album's cover was soon changed and re-pressed with Neil Young's name printed across the top of the portrait. The addition of the name may have increased sales but the cool artwork was cropped! This rigid heavy vinyl grades a STRONG EX, close to NEAR MINT, looks rarely played, is beautiful, clean and super glossy, only a faint sleeve mark or two that do not affect play! This record has been PLAY TESTED! Plays GREAT from start to finish with excellent sound quality, clear audio, minimal surface noise! The dead wax reads Side 1 "30817 RS 6317 A -1B RE-1" and side 2 "30818 RS 6317 B - RE-1 1B" The brown and orange Reprise labels are bright and clean, no spindle wear! The gatefold cover rates VG+/EX, is on heavyweight paper, is clean, no stains, all edges and corners solid, center split at bottom neatly repaired with non-yellowing tape (unnoticeable), inside gatefold is still clean and bright, back has tiny writing in upper corner, only light signs of age, a beautiful cover! (see photos) Includes original Reprise paper inner sleeve in EX condition, is clean, almost no wear! Hard to find this 1st press album in this well cared for condition! There is NO RESERVE PRICE!
