PLEASE BID NOW!

Some auctions will end during the day when your at work or during your favorite TV show or when you are sleeping!

I often get frantic emails from someone who forgot to bid... I have even had people call me up after an auction to say that if they knew the item would have sold for such a low price they would have bid!

PLEASE BID NOW!

In the next few weeks I will be listing a lot of GREAT antique phonograph items including: many cylinder records in the high five thousands, many odd lable and rare 78 records, some nice cylinder and 78 reproducers, a few cylinder phonographs, a Victor Fancy Case D (case only) and a Kalamazoo Duplux...

ALL WITH NO RESERVE AND CRAZY LOW STARTING BIDS!

******************************************************************

All grading is visual...

I put each record under strong light and bounce light off it at different angles to try and give my best opinion as to the visual condition of the grooves of the record. When I have trouble deciding between two grades I give a minus or plus to the grade.

Please read carefully as my system is not the same as others...

M Mint ...I never call anything mint. (I am sure I could always find something under a microscope.)

NM Near Mint ...Looks visually perfect to me. It is dark and shiny with no scratches.

E Excellent ...Has just a few light scratches and shows little signs of wear.

VG Very Good ... Is a record that has more than a few scratches and scuffs, but better than average.

A Average ...Obviously well played and noticeable graying in the groves.

P Poor ...Many scratches and scuffs. Some deep scratches that a finger nail will "tick" across.

C Crap ...Condition is so bad you may need some kind of optical needle to play it.

Here is a RARE EDISON 24 MINUTE DIAMOND DISC PHONOGRAPH RECORD! According to information written on the record label: "This record can be played only with Edison Long Playing Reproducer."

Side R Grade VG+       Side L Grade E-

SHIPPING & ebays shipping calculator: Winning bidders are frequently from outside the US. The shipping box must be large enough for the official USPS international shipping envelope (that contain the customs forms) to fit on the box, so I have calculated most items for a 12X12X8 priority box. (Ebays calculator does not allow for one size box within US and another size for outside the US) If the winning bidder is inside the US I can ship the tiny items in the 7X7X6 priority box, which usually cost less than the shipping calculator will show for the larger size, so if US winning bidders wait for me to send a new invoice on the very small items I will send an invoice for a more correct ship cost. International bidders: Please remember any import tax you may need to pay at your customs office when determining how much to bid. Shipping insurance is required on all expensive items and the Post Office now requires a signature confirmation (USPS cost $1.80) for items insured for over $250.00 if covered by insurance. For items sold for over $500.00 (the on-line max for both Paypal and USPS) I often use U-Pic on line shipping insurance to cover any amount over $500.00. Shipping insurance can not be used for all countries through U-Pic, so for those I must take the package to the Post Office in Person... for me a trip to the Post Office usually means trying to find a parking spot, standing in long lines and a minimum of an hours time. Some countries have on-line limits of $400.00 for shipping insurance. I use U-Pic for any amount over the limit whenever possible to avoid going to the Post Office. I WELCOME ALL INTERNATIONAL and US BIDDERS! Best Regards, Mike

PACKING 78 RECORDS: I first wrap the record in stretch plastic, then I cut 11&3/4" X 11&3/4" foam core boards and tape the 10" record to the center of the board and layer the record(s) and foam boards together.  I then put them in a 12" X 12" X 8" Priority mail box with peanuts top and bottom.  You safely get the record(s) in 2 or 3 days!
