Description

*VERY RARE* 1926 Edison Diamond Disc Record #51854 featuring "ALABAMA STOMP" Fox Trot -and- "STAMPEDE" Fox Trot by RED & MIFF'S STOMPERS.
This is one of rarest and most desirable of Edison Diamond Disc records.  This Edison record features what I believe is the very first appearance of early jazz great Red Nichols recording under his own name on a record label.  Red Nichols was joined in these recordings by early jazz greats Miff Mole (Irving Milfred Mole) and Jimmy Dorsey along with other early hot jazz artists to record these two wonderful sides for Edison in the Fall of 1926 in New York City.
Both sides are shiny excellent condition and both sides play very nicely with excellent sound.  There is a small check-mark scratch and two tiny edge flakes on the Alabama Stomp side and a couple of scattered very light scratches.
Please see pictures for details and ask questions as desired.

Our packaging is some of the finest you will find anywhere.
