LP: Visually VG. Sounds VG++!!! Scratches visible. Sounds GREAT! NO skips. Light surface noise can be heard in some intros/fade outs(mostly heard on the soft songs such as Five Sleepy Heads and Mine). Label has scratches. Spindle hole wear.

Cover: VG. Corner wear. Surface wear. NO split seams. Writing on front cover. Paper “Wrinkle?” near Front Right Middle and Lower Photos. Inner Sleeve opening small tear, 2 partial split seams and 1 seam partially unglued. Kept in new inner sleeve to protect original but will provide both.

Comes with the original ELVIS PRESLEY inner dust sleeve!!

Does not have bonus photo. 

The absolute rarest of Elvis's commercially issued MONO LPs, the legendary SPEEDWAY album. What makes this so rare? In 1967, monaural albums were being phased out.  By 1968, mono was virtually extinct, but this album was for some reason recorded and released in MONO.  WHY?  Possibly to service AM radio stations that still played mono over the airwaves. It's my understanding that unless you special ordered a Mono LP in 1968, they were not stocked in the stores. Translation?  For the million plus copies of this LP sold in STEREO, only a few hundred now exist in mono. If that many! Current price guides show this as being valued at $2,000 to $3,000.  Supply and Demand rule the true value.  There are virtually NO copies of original USA pressings on the market, and Elvis is one of the most collected artists of all time.

I must point out that the cover is a STEREO LSP edition. Why does it have a Stereo cover? I do not know.  I do not know if it was released/shipped with a STEREO COVER/MONO LP (which a local record dealer suggested, stating the factory used some stereo covers when they ran out of mono covers) or if the previous owner(a small town music producer) had a STEREO and a MONO LP and mixed the covers.  All I know is this is one rare pressing and is being sold to one lucky winner.

•   Very Good Plus (VG+)??A Very Good Plus record will show some signs that it was played and otherwise handled by a previous owner who took good care of it. ??Record surfaces may show some signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experiences. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are "OK". ??The label may have some ring wear or discoloration, but it should be barely noticeable. The center hole will not have been misshapen by repeated play. ??Picture sleeves and LP inner sleeves will have some slight wear, lightly turned up corners, or a slight seam split. An LP cover may have slight signs of wear also and may be marred by a cut-out hole, indentation or corner indicating it was taken out of print and sold at a discount. ??In general, if not for a couple things wrong with it, this would be Near Mint.

•   Very Good (VG)  Many of the defects found in a VG+ record will be more pronounced in a VG disc. Surface noise will be evident upon playing, especially in soft passages and during a song's intro and fade, but will not overpower the music otherwise. Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as with light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound.?Labels may be marred by writing, or have tape or stickers (or their residue) attached. The same will be true of picture sleeves or LP covers. However, it will not have all of these problems at the same time, only two or three of them.

•   Good (G), Good Plus (G+) Good does not mean Bad! A record in Good or Good Plus condition can be put onto a turntable and will play through without skipping. But it will have significant surface noise and scratches and visible groove wear (on a styrene record, the groove will be starting to turn white). A cover or sleeve will have seam splits, especially at the bottom or on the spine. Tape, writing, ring wear or other defects will start to overwhelm the object.
