Welcome Friends, Music Lovers & Collectors... We have a Great LP from a very under-rated band form 'down under'. These guys had so much ptential that it eas a 'given' that hey'sd be the next big 'breaking band'..and rightfully so, as they should have been. Seems to me that therei biggest 'failing' was due to the over arrogance of the band itself. They were damn good and they knew it..which is in many ways a very good thing..but, this was their 1st and only release and I don't know why they weren't picked up and promoted more. Yes, there were other notable bands of the genre that played quite well at the time..but not too many made the same impression or 'set the trend' that was followed for quite awhile. With great musicians and original material they should've sky=rocketed to International fame. I don't know just exactly how popular they were in their native Australia, but those of us who first heard them..eagerly awaited their 2nd release which never came... Hard to compare them to other bands of the era since they had such a unique sound, but they were mainly a blues band in the mode of AUM, SAVOY BROWN BLUES BAND, JOHN MAYALL (depending on who was in his band at that time), BLACK CAT BONE and others.. FANNY ADAMS only released this Debut LP in 1971 and to everyone's dismay, never released another.....but, this one is a pure classic and I've always loved it. This is getting to be a rare, h-t-f LP for a decent price as everyone hangs onto them...They're really that good and always a great listening experience. I see that this LP has recently been re-issued and I've heard the re-issue. It's ok...but has nothing of the depth and clarity of the originals...don't know if they had the 'master tapes' or not, but doesn't sound like it...of course, re-issues are ok but never stand up to the originals... This is an Original 1st pressing from my own personal collection...
Why am I selling it if its so good? Well, I taped it and am moving to another country in a few months and cannot take all of my precious LPs with me. Much too heavy..So, check out my auctions and stores to get some great deals on Originals that are keepers and need to be in a loving collection!
Here then, is an excellent condition LP from FANNY ADAMS from that Psychedelic year, 1971. This great LP has been lovingly kept and protected by me for these many years in a poly plastic sleeve. It is on the Original KAPP RECORD Label #3644 and is in Excellent condition. This is from my personal collection and is a 'keeper.
The COVER is in VG++ condition. No rips, tears, splits, stickers, punch holes or writing. Spine is tight and easily readable. Very nice cover indeed.
The VINYL is sweet. I never use the grade M or MINT. To me, MINT would be a sealed, unopened LP. But...this is surely VG++. A beautiful piece of vinyl for this rare, collectible. No need to 'upgrade' on this one..This is a very nice LP. Both Labels are crisp & clean. Comes with the Original Rare KAPP inner sleeve. This has some really good tracks...every song is a 'killer' and no filler. The tracks are beyond good..they are Fantastic!! Love this LP.
