Description
This is a RARE Radio Spot Announcement Record from the Elvis Presley 1966 movie FRANKIE AND JOHNNY on a UNITED ARTISTS record.
Radio stations would use these to records to promote Elvis’ latest movie, usually dubbing them to a cartridge tape for playback on the air, the throwing away the record. Most of the Elvis movie spot records didn't survive.
There are 16 separate cuts on this record and the vast majority of the spots feature Elvis singing excerpts from the songs he sings in the movie.
The record grades a solid VG+ to NM-, with lots of vinyl shine. There is some occasional light surface noise and a tick or two – but the spot announcements play back clean, loud and clear!
There is hand writing on the label that some deejay long ago marked through (see picture).
This is a one-sided 12-inch record that is blank on the other side and is stored inside a white, generic paper sleeve.
