RARE FREAKBEAT Betterdays Single - Don't Want That / Here 'Tis

On offer here is a MEGA rare copy of The Betterdays single 'Don't Want That' / 'Here 'Tis'. The single is on the red Polydor label and the catalogue number is BM 56024

The Betterdays were a 60's pop group that originated in Plymouth. They've been called the Southern Beatles, but not as successful. They released just one single in 1965 (which was a monumental flop) and then two numbered EPs in the early 90's (which aren't worth anything).

The record that's for sale here is the mega, mega rare 1965 single!

The disc is in EX- condition! The vinyl has a lovely, wonderful shine to it but has a few light surface marks. The disc has been very carefully played, and the sound is crystal clear with only a very faint amount of background static.

The labels are in EX+ condition. Because of Polydors lovely choice of label materials, the majority have been badly worn. Not this one! The labels are clean with hardly, if any wear. There is some very, very faint spindlemarks and the centerhole on side 1 has some very light whitening. Side 1 has '15p' written where the date mark is. This is in thin red biro pen and is relatively hard to spot. See the photos.

This is a very desirable copy of a mega rare single. When was the last time you ever saw a copy? When's the next time you'll ever see one in this condition!?

Comes in an original Polydor company sleeve that's in VG+/EX- condition.

Mint (M) The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertisied as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint. Excellent (EX) The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. Very Good (VG) The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. Good (G) The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc. Fair (F) The record is still just about playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced. Poor (P) The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing. Bad (B) The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
