Description

Extremely rare one of a kind set of five 12" 78rpm acetate production rehearsal discs from the film "Oklahoma" (released in 1955), featuring Gordon MacRae and Shirley Jones. (These are not pressed discs like most records, the material is cut directly into the acetate coating on these metal based discs.) The discs are dated from July-September 1954. The mystery is that "Oklahoma" was a 20th Century Fox production and all of these discs have MGM Pictures labels. These discs came from Gordon MacRae's personal collection years ago. Please see labels for titles. All but one of the discs are 2 sided. Same material on both sides but one side has cue sounds added. The Surrey-Last Refrain disc is one-sided. All of the discs are in excellent condition with some light superficial scuffs, but need cleaning. Buyer pays media mail shipping in U.S. at $7.00 or priority mail at $18.00.
