Vernon Dalhart " Eleven Cent Cotton / Polly-Wolly Doodle " Singing with harmonica, guitar, banjo, fiddle and Jew's-harp. Edison # 20001 78 RPM ca. 1920s.. Thin Edison record " Needle Type Electric ". High book value. Some fairly light scratches and scuffs on both sides. Nothing serious. A few small ones can BARELY be felt. Slightly dull finish. I played both sides and it plays reasonably well for a 78. Background sizzling with some occasional light 'ticks" or pops but no skips or hesitations. His voice comes through fairly well despite the background noise. Some nice guitar picking. The labels have circular scratches. Some wear on the labels otherwise. Slightly faded on the A side.
