Description

Columbia 2491-D Ben Selvin and his Orchestra (feat. Bunny Berigan, Tommy Dorsey, Benny Goodman) from June 1931 with a great hot "Sing Another Chorus Please", backed with Paul Whiteman and his Orchestra incl. Andy Secrest, Frankie Trumbauer, Matty Malneck on a hot Trumbauer/ Malneck composition, "Choo- Choo", recorded in July, 1930, just before Whiteman moved back to Victor. Yes, this is the rare issue with the Whiteman "Potato Head" label on one side, and the regular- issue Columbia label on the Selvin side. Visual V+, but just because of scuffs. Actually plays E+ to New Minus. Tough as nails to find! Some label wear as shown. Be sure to check my other auctions as I'm back with lots of very nice and rare offerings after a very long sabbatical! Lots of great prewar Jazz records, postwar 78s, Edison jazz/ dance cylinders and Diamond Discs, rare classical LPs, and even a few windup machines this round! I'm happy to combine wins, and I ship worldwide. I'm also very well versed in shipping fragile 78s, as well as other records and phonographs. Check my feedback, and bid with confidence.
