"The Complete Black Lion and Vogue Recordings of Thelonious Monk" (Mosaic Records, MR4-112, 1985, U.S., #1512)
On offer is the Mosaic LP box set covering Monk's final years. Box, booklet, 4 LPs in original inner sleeves. #1512 of 7500 pressed. Ex/Ex condition. Visual and aural examination. Details (and see pictures below): The box is clean and quite solid: untouched corners, straight edges, a solid hinge; no broken or damaged seams, no damage to the corners. Some light soiling and rubbing to the front and back. Internally quite clean. The booklet is clean and bright with very light external signs of handling and very dismissable wear near the staples. The labels are bright and clean with no damage or diminution to speak of. Of the four LPs here are the sole detractions (visually): some very faint needle mark to sides 1 and 2 only and a hairline scratch or faint scuff to the outer edge of side 8 (which does not sound); otherwise, very bright, clean and unmarked surfaces. Aurally, the records will satisfy all but the most fastidious of audiophiles: clean throughout with very occasional light pressing static which should brush away. Sides 1 and 2 have more static than the others, but even so the amount here is well within acceptable limits and much of it should, as with the other sides, brush away. There are also, again, for sides 1 and 2, some very scattered and soft ticks. That's all. A handsome set in very desirable condition. Low starting price; low reserve. Please see the pictures below.

For the US, we usually prefer to ship everything USPS priority mail or first class with a delivery confirmation number. Priority mail offers average 2-3 days delivery of shipment. Other methods of shipping are available upon request. Postcards, photos, and flat items will be shipped priority mail for best service. We will ship worldwide. PLEASE NOTE:international buyers please be aware of currency exchanges and we will assess shipping rates accordingly. If there are specific exporting problems involving the item that you won, let us know about this ahead of time please. For international buyers any additional costs, such as tax or duties will be incurred by the customer.
