THIS RARE ALBUM WILL MAKE A SIMPLY SPLENDID HOLIDAY GIFT TO A COLLECTOR OF JAZZ VINYL!
This is the very rare hard to find original 1965 Mono release (V-8606) by Verve of "We Get Requests" featuring The Oscar Peterson Trio. Oscar is joined by Ray Brown on Bass and Ed Thigpen on drums making up the trio. The 10 track album features many standards and hits including "The Days of Wine and Roses", "My One and Only Love", "The Girl From Ipanema" and "Time and Again".
The shiny vinyl has some light superficial scratches and scuffs from past use and thus some surface noise can be heard on mostly soft passages. It produces a pleasant listening experience and has no skips or repeats. It is rated VG+ and comes with a new white generic inner sleeve to help preserve it for another 50 years and more. The outer jacket features a great cover art color photo of the famed trio performing. There is some flaking of the laminate at the edge where it vinyl is inserted and some very minor softening of 3 corners. This jacket will be a great candidate for framing by those so inclined. The back cover is in great condition with some minor staining with no other defects. All seams are solid (no cracking) and very legible. The jacket rates a solid VG+.
A new quality clear poly-vinyl outer sleeve is included. For extra protection during shipment the vinyl is separated from outer jacket and both wrapped with ample bubble wrap and shipped in a heavy duty cardboard record mailer.
