Description

YEP, HERE IT IS. RARE AS HELL ORIGINAL COPY OF THIS TOP BANANA RECORD & FUNKY AS HELL WITH IT.

COVER VG++ ( SLIGHT RINGWEAR)/VINYL VG++.

THE OVERTON BERRY TRIO LIVE AT SEATTLE'S DOUBLETREE INN LP

I'M SELLING A FEW CHOICE PIECES FROM MY VAST COLLECTION FOR REASONS ALL OF MY OWN.

I'M A HUGE VINYL COLLECTOR, I KNOW WHAT I WANT & WHAT I LIKE & THIS ALBUM FITS INTO BOTH CATEGORIES.

NOT MUCH TO BE SAID ABOUT THIS ALBUM. RARE AS HELL, & DAMN JAZZTASTICALLY FUNKY.

The Overton Berry Trio was a Jazz outfit from Seattle, where they recorded this album live at a dinner club, although I’m pretty sure they dubbed in the same applause track at the end of each song. While there’s the usual set of straight Jazz songs, the band also relies heavily on Beatles’ covers, which provide the best moments. Hey Jude starts off with a heavy bass line by Chuck Metcalf that would make a perfect loop before going into a powerful rendition of the tune. Metcalf also gets down with some open bass lines at the beginning of Oden, a swinging Jazz tune with some powerful play on piano by Berry and short Jazz drum breaks by Bill Kotick. There are also Waterboy and Guacamloian Shuffle, two mellow Soul-Jazz pieces that have their moments.

MY FEEDBACK IS EXEMPLARY SO BID WITH THE UPMOST CONFIDENCE.

I'M BASED IN LONDON SO SHIPPING WILL BE AS CHEAP AS MY POST OFFICE DOES IT TO WHEREVER YOU ARE IN THE WORLD. IGNORE WHATEVER IT SAYS BELOW, JUST CONTACT ME UPON WINNING & I'LL FIND OUT THE COST FOR YOU.

ANY QUESTIONS JUST ASK & BE SURE TO CHECK MY OTHER BLOODY RARE ALBUMS UP FOR GRABS AS WE SPEAK.

NICE. TAKE CARE.
