A classic Detroit JAZZ/Soul/Funk LP that incorporates some deep jazz and soulful influences with some funk. Amazing musicianship as you would come to find from the label (with killer Chicago musicians!). Essential for fans of Strata or Strata-East, Tribe and Black Jazz styles independent jazz, soul and funk. Includes the great funk of "Street Rap" and the modal dance version of John Coltrane's "Naima". The musicians: Sun King and Adam Rudolph (percussion), Rufus Reed (bass), Andy Potter (drums), Jim Cailen (piano), Michael Fuller (drums), Edwin Williams (trombone), Joyce Major and Diane Cunningham (vocals).
