Description

Up for auction is a monster rare, and without question the most collectible, 45 RPM record by the legendary JOHNNY CASH and the TENNESSEE TWO on the SUN Records label (#221)...recorded in 1955 in MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE.   The A side tune is titled CRY! CRY! CRY!, and the B side tune is titled HEY PORTER!. 

The sound receives a grade of VG, due to light background noise, but a good professional cleaning will most assuredly improve the sound quality.  Both sides play thru just fine, and the songs are actually quite pleasant to listen to.

The vinyl has the expected light superficial scratches for a record that was recorded in 1955, and it also receives a grade of VG.

The labels have some ring wear and residue, but the labels are pretty nice for a record that was recorded and released 59 years ago...I'm giving the labels a grade of VG+.  You can easily feel and see the push marks on both labels in person, so I guarantee you that this is an original first pressing of Johnny Cash's most collectible 45 RPM record.

This rare 45 would make a very nice addition to your vinyl record collection without having to pay an arm and a leg for it, so if you choose to bid on it, GOOD LUCK!
